Guest speaker from "Parent University" hosted by Learning To Finish:

Rob Dixon, named 2009 People Magazine and Major League Baseball "All-Star Among Us" for his work with Boston's inner city, is Executive Director of Project RISE (Respect, Integrity and Success through Education), a program that serves over 300 at-risk students each summer.

Mr. Dixon is a native of Dorchester, Massachusetts, attended the University of New Hampshire where he played basketball, was drafted by the Washington Bullets, and played overseas before returning to Boston to teach and work with at-risk youth. He believes that every child can achiece their dreams and is committed to helping them succeed.
